Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chompi mobile app (the "App"), provided by Chompi Labs ("Chompi", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Chompi, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Chompi. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Chompi with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Your Account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information (like your email and profile details) and to keep it up to date.
• You may sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, subject to their own terms.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

Not Medical Advice

Chompi is a virtual pet and nutrition-habit app, not a medical device or healthcare service. Meal scans, calorie and macro estimates, and any goals or recommendations shown in the App are estimates for entertainment and habit-building purposes only. They may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Chompi to diagnose, treat, cure, or manage any medical condition, including eating disorders, diabetes, or allergies. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or dietary advice specific to you.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Upload photos or content that are abusive, obscene, infringing, or that depict anyone without their consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App or its AI systems
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
• Harass, abuse, or harm other Chompi users, including through the friends feature

AI-Generated Content

Meal and drink photos you submit are analyzed by an AI provider to estimate nutrition information and generate Chompi's reaction. AI estimates can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally strange, and confidence in any given result may be low. You are responsible for the photos and content you submit and for verifying anything important yourself.

Subscriptions & Purchases

• Chompi offers optional subscriptions ("Chompi Unlimited"), one-time cosmetic purchases, and consumable "bites" packs, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, managed through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• Prices, included features, and promotional offers may change; we'll do our best to give notice of material changes affecting active subscribers.
• Bites, cosmetics, and other in-app items have no cash value and cannot be redeemed, transferred, or exchanged for real money.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies, not directly by Chompi.

Free Tier & Fair Use

Free accounts include a limited number of AI meal scans per day. We may adjust these limits, or introduce reasonable rate limits or fair-use protections, to keep the service reliable and cost-effective for everyone.

Intellectual Property

Chompi, its mascot, characters, artwork, cosmetics, and the App's design and code are owned by Chompi Labs or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the meal and drink photos you upload, but you grant us a license to process and store them as needed to operate the App and provide AI analysis.

Third-Party Services

Chompi relies on third-party services, including AI providers, RevenueCat for purchases, and Apple/Google for sign-in, push notifications, and app distribution. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Termination

You may stop using Chompi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in conduct that harms Chompi or other users. Certain provisions (like ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

Disclaimers

Chompi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We don't guarantee that AI-generated nutrition estimates are accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chompi Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on any nutrition estimate or in-app content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Chompi after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
